Directions
1. Access the Additional Registration Utilities menu, display the menu page
showing the 'Reg vs Res Project' Transfer of Address Information
option, and enter the option number.
The system will display some information about the utility which you can
see in the example screenshot below.
2. Next, enter the 'gaining' NHAIS cipher. You can enter multiple NHAIS
ciphers if required. Each cipher will be checked to ensure it is a valid,
English NHAIS system cipher.
3. When you have finished entering the ciphers, press Return.
4. The system will as you for an email address. You can either enter the email
address of the person who requested the information at the 'gaining'
NHAIS agency or your own email address.
If you enter your own email address, forward the email to the person who
requested the information at the 'gaining' agency.
5. The system will ask you to confirm that the email address is correct. Enter
Y and press Return.
6. The system will then display a message similar to the example below:
** THE REQUESTED ANALYSIS HAS BEEN STARTED IN THE
BACKGROUND. **
An email with attached report will be sent to <email address>
when processing has finished. Ciphers to be included are:
cipher(s)
7. The system will generate a file and send it from xxx@cfhsds.nhs.uk
(where xxx is your home cipher) to the email address you specified.
'Registration vs Resident Project' Transfer of Address information

This utility can be run to transfer Address Code information, Residential
Institute Code information and GMS Nursing/Residential Home Postcodes to
the new 'housing' Agency. You will be required to enter the 'Housing
Registration system' ciphers and then an email address for the information
to be sent to.
Enter 'gaining' NHAIS cipher (Press 'Return' to finish entering ciphers): LNB
