PRINT SPEED
The setting range varies depending on the model.
• S84-ex (203 dpi): 4 to 16 ips (inches/sec)
• S86-ex (203 dpi): 4 to 14 ips (inches/sec)
• S84-ex (305 dpi): 4 to 14 ips (inches/sec)
• S86-ex (305 dpi): 4 to 12 ips (inches/sec)
• S84-ex (609 dpi): 2 to 6 ips (inches/sec)
Note
Setting the print speed to a level that is too fast may affect the print quality.
PRINT DARKNESS
Specify the print darkness from ten steps.
The setting range is from 1 to 10. 1 is the lightest and 10 is the darkest.
PITCH OFFSET
This setting adjusts the pitch offset value.
The media pitch is the distance between the leading edge (the edge that
comes out of the printer first) of the media and the leading edge of the next
media. Once the position has been set, it can be fine adjusted using the
PITCH POSITION in adjustment mode.
The setting range is from -49 mm (-1.9") to +49 mm (+1.9") and is
adjustable by 1 mm (0.04") steps.
Set the offset value with '+' to move the print position opposite the feed
direction and value with '-' to move the print position in the feed direction.
CHARACTER CODE
Set the character code to be used.
• UTF-8: Use UTF-8 for character encoding.
• UTF-16: Use UTF-16 for character encoding.
