1 Introduction to the CLI

1.1 Overview of the CLI

Provided by the OceanStor S2600 storage system (hereinafter referred to as S2600), the CLI
supports batch processing operations, which helps you manage and maintain the devices
efficiently and quickly.
The CLI helps users query, set, manage, and maintain the storage system. The CLI supports

You can log in to the CLI interface in the following two ways:
through the management network port

After connect the maintenance terminal to the controller subrack through the serial cable (DB-9 to
DB-9), you can connect to the CLI of the controller through the Hyper Terminal or other terminal
programs provided by the Windows operating system.

After connecting the maintenance terminal to the management network port of the controller subrack,
you can log in to the CLI through the remote login software that supports the SSH protocol.
Takes the Windows operating system as an example, run Hyper Terminal (generally, you
can find Hyper Terminal along the following route: Start > All Programs > Accessories
> Hyper Terminal), and a dialog box displays showing in
any icon, and click OK. Type a name, select any icon, and click OK.
