5. Fuel injection system relay
• Disconnect the fuel injection system relay
from the wire harness.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) and bat-
tery (12 V) to the fuel injection system relay
terminals as shown.
Battery positive terminal → red/black 1
Battery negative terminal → blue/yellow 2
Tester positive probe → red 3
Tester negative probe → red/blue 4

• Does the fuel injection system relay have
continuity between blue/white and black?
YES

Replace the fuel
injection system
relay.

6. Fuel pump resistance
• Disconnect the fuel pump coupler from the
fuel pump.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) to the fuel
pump coupler as shown.
Tester positive probe → red/blue 1
Tester negative probe → black 2

• Measure the fuel pump resistance.
Fuel pump resistance
0.2 ~ 3.0 Ω at 20°C (68 °F)
• Is the fuel pump OK?
YES

7. Crankshaft position sensor resistance
• Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor
coupler from the wire harness.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 100) to the
crankshaft position sensor coupler as
shown.
Tester positive probe → gray 1
Tester negative probe → black 2
• Measure the crankshaft position sensor
resistance.
