You can reduce the response level of speed control in the
resonance frequency band of the mechanical system to
avoid mechanical resonance.

(1) Notch filter time constant [Pr. 862]
If you do not know the mechanical resonance
frequency, decrease notch frequency gradually from
the highest value. The point at which the smallest
vibration is generated is the notch frequency setting.
Machine characteristic can be obtained beforehand
with
machine
analyzer
Necessary notch frequency can be determined from
this.

The notch filter with deeper depth has an effect on
minimizing mechanical resonance. However, large
vibration may be generated adversely due to
substantial phase delay. Adjust notch depth from the
shallower depth.
