04 Chapter 1
All the four indicators on the control panel are turned on, and the
following messages are displayed on the liquid crystal display.
<<<INITIALIZE>>>
It takes about 70 seconds for the printer to perform initialization and
warm-up. The printer is ready to print when the ONLINE indicator
on the control panel lights and the following message is displayed on
the liquid crystal display.
READY
Important:
If the liquid display or ONLINE indicator does not work when the
power is turned on, see Chapter 5 "Solving Problems".
Turning power off
Press the power switch on the "O"-marked side to turn off the
printer power. When the power is turned off, all indicators and
liquid crystal display on the control panel are turned off.
Caution:
• Do not turn off power during printing. If you accidentally turn off
power during printing, see "Removing Paper Jam" in Chapter 5
and remove paper remaining in the printer mechanism.
• Do not turn off power during initialization. Doing so may shorten
the service life of the print unit.
