    Getting Ready Getting Ready This section will help you: Choose a suitable location for the printer Inventory the parts of the printer as you unpack it Picking a Suitable Location The first step is to pick a suitable location for your printer. For peak performance and usability, follow these guidelines: Place the printer on a sturdy, level surface.

    Getting Reedy Use only the power cord furnished with the printer. Do not use an extension cord. Do not touch any connector contacts and corona wires to avoid possible electrostatic damage to the printer. Do not use a circuit shared with equipment that causes electrical noise, such as motors.

The Windows printer driver is essential for controlling your printer in Microsoft Windows environments.
