Clearing Paper Jams

Caution:
Clear paper jams quickly to avoid problems with the fuser unit.
Do not touch or scratch the green drum surface when clearing the
paper jam.
Be careful not to expose the drum of the print unit to light for more
than five minutes.
Take special care when removing a jam from the transfer unit to
avoid damage to the corona wire.
Preventive Measures for Paper Jams
To prevent paper jams, observe the following:
• Install the printer on the level.
• Use adequate paper.
• Load paper properly into the paper tray or multi-function feeder.
• Use paper without curls.
• Push the paper tray completely to the bottom.
