To install the paper feeder (feeder unit and paper tray), follow these
steps:
Caution:
• Place the paper feeder in the direction shown in the figure in step
4. Give a service clearance of about 50 cm each on the front and
back of the printer.
• The printed circuit boards in the paper feeder are easily damaged.
Do not touch connectors by hand.

1. Turn off the printer and
disconnect the power cord.
Make sure that the printer
power is off (the power
switch is pressed on the "O"
side), and disconnect the
power cord from the outlet.
Disconnect the power cord
from the power cord
connector on the back of
the printer. Disconnect also
the interface cable if
connected.
2. Prepare the paper feeder.
Take out the paper feeder
from the carton box place it
on site. Check that the lock
is released as shown in the
figure in step 4. If not, push
the lock lever in the
opposite direction of the
arrow "LOCK". (See the
figure in step 4.)
