Moving the
Printer

When transporting or moving the printer, note the following:

The printer weighs about 27 kg excluding options and paper. Two
or more persons are required to carry it. When lifting the printer,
one person must firmly hold the bottom of the printer by both hands
on the left and right sides viewed from the front (control panel side).
Simultaneously, another person must hold the printer on the
opposite side in the same way. Never hold any part other than the
bottom to lift the printer. The printer may drop and hurt workers.
Caution:
When moving the printer in which an optional paper feeder is
installed, remove the paper feeder in advance. Pack the printer and
paper feeder properly in advance so that they are not damaged during
transportation. It is recommended to keep the original packing
materials if it is anticipated that the printer be transported for a long
distance in the future.
Moving the Printer Nearby
When replacing the desk on which the printer is mounted or moving
the printer to the next room, follow the procedure below:
