Paper Jams in the Paper Path (in the Paper Eject Unit)
To clear a paper jam in the fuser unit, follow these steps:
Warning:

Do not touch the heat roller. This hot area may burn your hand. See
the label attached to the frame under the paper eject unit.
Caution:
Clear paper jams quickly to avoid problems with the fuser unit.

Clearing Paper Jams
1. Remove the paper eject
unit. Hold the depressions
Eject
at both ends of the paper
unit
eject unit and lift and pull it
out toward you.
2. Remove the jammed sheet
from the paper eject unit or
from the face-down stacker
Label
(paper eject rollers).
Jammed sheet jutted out
the fuser unit should be
removed from the front side
of the printer unless it is
impossible (see the previous
section).
3. Return the paper eject unit.
Hold the depressions at
both ends of the paper eject
unit and push it in along
the guides at both ends of
the printer until it clicks.

Make sure that the unit is
caught by the hooks under
the near end of the unit.
