Loading Paper
This section explains how to load paper into the paper tray or the
multi-function feeder. See Chapter 2 for the types of paper that can
be loaded.
Important:
Load paper after the printer power is turned on.
Loading Paper in the Paper Tray
This printer has a single paper tray that is universal to paper sizes.
You can add three more trays called second tray, third tray, and
fourth tray by purchasing optional paper feeders (feeder units and
paper trays). See Chapter 3 and Appendix B.
Because each paper tray has the same mechanism to make it universal
to paper sizes, the following steps are described using the second
paper tray.
Important:
Different sizes of paper cannot be loaded simultaneously into one
tray.

Setting Up
1. Pull the paper tray out of
the printer.
2. Remove a restraint tape
and polystyrene foams
securing each component.
