Protective sheet
Narrow tape
Caution:
Never turn on the printer before removing tape w.
Caution:
If you do not proceed to the next step immediately, close the
printer's upper cover to protect the photoconductor drum from
light.
After you have installed the print unit, install the toner bottle. See
Replacing the Toner Bottle described previously in this chapter.
Close the printer's upper cover. Press down the upper cover until it
clicks shut. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer. Be
sure to clear the "

3. Remove the protective
materials from the print
unit. Peel off the center
yellow tape, pull the
portion marked "REMOVE
THIS q" to remove
protective sheet q, and
gently pull transparent
narrow tape w toward the
right and you until the
"END" mark is visible and
remove the tape.
4. Seat the print unit in
place. Press down gently on
the left and right portions
marked PUSH until the
print unit is positioned in
place.
When handling the print
unit, never allow its green
surface to touch anything,
since it can be easily
scratched.
