    Compact Track Loader 4. Maintenance 4-38 4-39 Fuel Filter The fuel filter removes contaminants from the fuel as it enters the engine for combustion. The fuel filter should be changed every 500 hours or more often if needed to prevent these conditions from occurring.

    4. Maintenance Engine Oil/Filter Change Regular oil changes are necessary to maintain a strong running engine. Terex recommends a normal oil change interval of 250 hours or every six months. This recommendation has been made to help ensure proper lubrication during operation and to prolong engine life under typical operating conditions.

    Compact Track Loader 4. Maintenance Radiator/Oil Cooler Cleaning The Radiator and Oil Cooler must be kept clean to ensure proper operation. Engine and hydraulic system overheating, damage and even failure can result if the radiator/oil cooler is not kept clean. A pressure washer or compressed air nozzle work well to blow debris clear of the fins in the oil cooler and radiator.
