Active Flight Plan Options
Remove Approach, Arrival, or Departure
Remove Approach? deletes the currently selected
approach from the active flight plan. Remove Arrival?
deletes the current Arrival (STAR) from the active
flight plan. Remove Departure? deletes the current
departure (SID) from the active flight plan.
To remove an approach, arrival or departure from
the active flight plan:
1.
Press MENU and turn the large right knob
to select the "Remove Approach?", "Remove
Arrval?" or "Remove Departure?" opton from
the actve flght plan page optons and press
ENT.
2.
A confirmaton wndow wll appear lstng
the procedure you are about to remove. Wth
"Yes?" hghlghted, press ENT.
Closest Point of FPL
Closest Point of FPL? calculates the bearing and
closest distance that a flight plan will pass from a refer-
ence waypoint. May also be used to create a new user
waypoint along the flight plan at the location closest to
the reference waypoint.

To determine the closest point, along the active
flight plan, to a selected waypoint:
1.
Select the "Closest Pont of FPL?" opton from
the actve flght plan page optons and press
ENT.
2.
A wndow wll appear wth the reference
waypont field hghlghted. Use the small and
large right knobs to enter the dentfier of the
reference waypont and press ENT.
3.
A confirmaton wndow wll appear for the
selected reference waypont. Press ENT to
accept the waypont.
4.
The 400W-seres wll dsplay the bearng (BRG)
and dstance (DIST) to the closest pont along
the flght plan, from the selected reference
waypont. To create a user waypont at ths
locaton and add t to the flght plan, hghlght
"Load?" and press ENT. The name for the new
user waypont wll be derved from the dent-
fier of the reference waypont.
