As the dstance (DIS) to the IAF approaches
zero, the alert s replaced by a turn advsory
("LT TO 030° NOW").

Fly the outbound course (030°), keepng the
needle centered on the external CDI (or HSI).



Once you have flown approxmately one mnute
past SHUTR ntersecton, prepare for the pro-
cedure turn.
8.
Turn rght to a headng of 075° to ntate the
procedure turn. The GNS 430W wll not gude
you through the turn. (The procedure turn s
dsplayed on the map page and ndcated as
the actve leg on the default NAV and actve
flght plan pages.) The external CDI needle wll
start movng to the left.
9.
After approxmately one mnute, make a 180°
left turn to a headng of 255° to ntercept
the ILS. The GNS 430W wll sequence to
the nbound leg and "DTK 210° NOW" wll
appear n the lower rght corner of the screen.
CDI couplng wll automatcally swtch from
the "GPS" recever to the "VLOC" recever
as you complete the nbound turn. (If the ILS
frequency has not been actvated, per step #4,
ths automatc CDI swtch wll not occur.)
10. As the CDI needle starts to center, make a
left turn to 210° to track the ILS approach
course.
