Approach with Hold
6. Once you actvate the approach, the actve
flght plan page wll appear. You may revew
the approach sequence by pressng the small
right knob and turnng the large right knob.
Press FPL to return to the navgaton pages.
7. As n the last example, wthn 31 nautcal mles
of the arport, the 400W-seres unt wll swtch
from en route mode to termnal mode, and the
CDI scale wll transton from 2.0 to 1.0 nautcal
mles, full scale deflecton.
NOTE: Upon activating an RNAV GPS approach,
you are given the option to skip any non-required
holding patterns during the initial transitions of
the approach. In a GPS approach, you will not be
given the option and you must manually reselect
waypoint sequencing.
8. Just pror to crossng BODRY ntersecton, an
alert—"HOLD TEARDROP"—wll appear n
the lower rght corner of the screen to sug-
gest the proper holdng pattern entry. ("HOLD
DIRECT" or "HOLD PARALLEL" may be offered
on other smlar approaches.)

9. As mentoned n the mssed approach example,
the default NAV page wll dsplay a tmer
durng the holdng pattern. Use ths tmer to fly
the one mnute outbound porton of the hold-
ng pattern. (The holdng pattern s dsplayed
on the map page and ndcated as the actve
leg on the default NAV and actve flght plan
pages.)

