RNAV Approach Procedures

The GNS 400W Series allows for flying LNAV, LNAV/VNAV, LNAV + V and LPV approaches according to the
published chart.

Annunciation
L/VNAV Lateral Navgaton/Vertcal Navgaton. RNAV non-precson approach wth advsory
vertcal gudance.
LNAV Lateral Navgaton. RNAV non-precson approach.
LNAV + V Lateral Navgaton wth Advsory Vertcal Gudance. RNAV non-precson LNAV
approach wth advsory vertcal gudance. The gldepath s typcally denoted by
a lght dashed lne on the vertcal profile (Jeppeson only) wth an assocated
gldepath angle (usually n the 3.00 degree range) and s provded to assst the
plot n mantanng a constant vertcal gldepath, smlar to an ILS gldeslope.
LPV Lateral Precson wth Vertcal gudance (LPV) approach.
RNAV precson approach.
NOTE: Minimums will be controlling, do not descend below applicable minimum descent altitude or decision
height until criteria of FAR 91.175 are met.
8. When vewng the Map Page, you'll note
that the final course segment s dsplayed
n magenta (the actve leg of the flght plan
always appears n magenta).
9. As you approach the MAP, a waypont message
("DTK 312° x S") appears on the bottom of
the screen.
10. Once the unt crosses the MAP (defined as
the runway end waypont), sequencng wll
be suspended. Prepare the arcraft for mssed
approach operaton. Press the OBS key to
sequence to the Mssed Approach procedure.
11. Fly the gudance provded by the unt to the
ARTTY ntersecton and hold.
