Flight Planning

manual transfer, the pilot must force another transfer.
To transfer flight plans or user waypoints to/from
a second 400W (or 500W) Series unit:
1. Select "Crossfll" from the flght plannng
page.
2. The flashng cursor hghlghts the method field.
Turn the small right knob to select "Auto" or
"Manual". "Auto" wll automatcally transfer
any selecton of (or any change to) a drect-to
destnaton or actve flght plan to a second
400W or 500W Seres Garmn unt.
NOTE: Crossfill requires both 400W and/or 500W
series units to have the same Jeppesen NavData
database cycle number.
3. The flashng cursor hghlghts the transfer data
opton (TRANSFER) field. Turn the small right
knob to dsplay a wndow of avalable data
optons:
• Active Flight Plan—transfer the active flight
plan to/from a second 400W/500W-series
Garmin unit in a dual unit installation. This
option is the default when selecting "Crossfill"
from the flight planning page.
• Flight Plan—transfer any stored flight plan
to/from a second 400W/500W-series unit,
by selecting the flight plan by number. This
option is the default when selecting "Crossfill"
from the flight plan catalog.
• User Waypoints (all)—transfer all
stored user waypoints to/from a second
400W/500W-series unit.
• User Waypoint—transfer the specified user
waypoint to a second 400W/500W-series
unit.

5. For a stored flght plan ("Flght Plan" data
opton), the flght plan number field s hgh-
lghted. Turn the small right knob to select
the desred flght plan and press ENT.
6. For a specfied user waypont ("User Waypont"
data opton), the waypont dentfier field s
hghlghted. Use the small and large right
knobs to enter the dentfier of the desred user
waypont. Press ENT when finshed.
7. The flashng cursor moves to the "CROSS-SIDE"
field. Turn the small right knob to select "To"
or "From" and press ENT.
8. The flashng cursor moves to the "Intate
Transfer?" confirmaton field. Press ENT to
transfer the selected data.
