VORs

VOR Page

The VOR page displays the facility name, city,
region/country, magnetic variation, latitude and longi-
tude for the selected VOR. The VOR page also displays
the frequency and a weather broadcast indication (if
applicable). There are no VOR page options.

The following descriptions and abbreviations are
used:
• Symbol— See Section 2 Nav Pages - Map Page
for a graphic illustration of available
VOR symbols
• VAR—
Magnetic variation in degrees
• Position— Latitude/Longitude (degrees/minutes
or degrees/minutes/seconds), MGRS
or UTM/UPS
• FREQ—
Frequency in megahertz (MHz)
• Wx Brdcst— Weather information is broadcast
on the selected facility' s frequency
As mentioned in the beginning of Section 6, VORs
may be selected by identifier, facility name or location
(city). The VOR page may also be used to quickly tune
the VLOC receiver to the selected VOR' s frequency.

To select a VOR frequency from the VOR page:

Select the VOR page from the WPT page
group.
Press the small right knob momentarly to

place the cursor on the VOR dentfier field. If
you wsh to select another VOR, use the small
and large right knobs and press ENT when
finshed.
Turn the large right knob to hghlght the

frequency field and press ENT to place the
frequency n the standby field of the VLOC
wndow.

To actvate the standby VLOC frequency, press
the VLOC flip-flop key.
