5.4 Router Setup Page
Router Type: This popup menu field allows the user to set or change the type of the router.
The three choices are Configured, Repeater, and Flood. See (Section 4.4.6) for a detailed
description. Select the new value and click the "Submit Changes" button.
IP Port: This field allows the user to set or change the uni-cast IP port of the router. Enter
the new value and click the "Submit Changes" button.
IP Port Near Side: This field appears when the router is in 852 bridge mode. It allows the
user to set or change the near side uni-cast IP port of the router. Enter the new value and
click the "Submit Changes" button.
IP Port Far Side: This field appears when the router is in 852 bridge mode. It allows the
user to set or change the far-side uni-cast IP port of the router. Enter the new value and
click the "Submit Changes" button.
852 to 852 Mode: This displays and controls the status of the 852 Bridge mode for the
router. (See Section 2.6, "852 to 852 Bridge Mode" )To enable or disable 852 bridge
mode, select the radio button that corresponds to the desired state, On for enable, Off for
disable, and then click the "Submit Changes" button. Finally select the GadgetGateway
Reboot button.
NAT Router WAN Address: This field allows the user to set or change the WAN IP address
of a NAT router. This is only applicable when the Gadget Gateway is connected to the
internet through a NAT router and needs to communicate with 852 devices on other
LANs. To change the value in the field, type in the new value in the dotted format
XX.XX.XX.XX and click the "Submit Changes" button.
NAT Router Support: These radio buttons allow the user to set or enable or disable NAT
router support. When enabled the node substitutes the NAT Router WAN Address in
appropriate packet headers so that other 852 nodes can respond through the NAT Router.
For more details see Section 4.4.10. Select the new value and click the "Submit Changes"
button.
Compatibility Mode: This popup menu field allows the user to change the configuration
server compatibility mode. The three choices are Standard 852, i.Lon ConfigServer, and
CoactiveLL ConfigServer. See (Section 4.4.14) for a more detailed description. Select the
new value and click the "Submit Changes" button.
ConfigServer Address: This field requires information only when the Gateway is operating
in Normal mode (See "MODE" above). This is the uni-cast IP host address of the configu-
ration server for this channel. To change the value in the field, type in the new value in the
dotted format XX.XX.XX.XX and click the "Submit Changes" button.
Near Side ConfigServer Address: This field appears only when the Gateway is operating
in 852 Bridge mode. This is the uni-cast IP host address of the configuration server for the
near side 852 channel. To change the value in the field, type in the new value in the dotted
format XX.XX.XX.XX and click the "Submit Changes" button.
Far Side ConfigServer Address: This field appears only when the Gateway is operating in
852 Bridge mode. This is the uni-cast IP host address of the configuration server for the
