Although this menu is always active and allows configuration of the DDNS parameters,
DDNS will not be activated unless the node is in manual mode, NAT support is enabled,
and valid DDNS parameters are entered here.

4.5.16 Set DDNS Name

Select [N] from the menu and press ENTER.

Input the DDNS domain name of the NAT router and press ENTER. The new name will
appear in the menu.If you do not have a DDNS domain name you must go to dyndns.org
and register for one. If you press ENTER without typing in anything the previous value is
retained.
When DNS is operating, the 852 nodes in that channel (that support DDNS) save the
DDNS names of the other members of the channel. The IP address of each node is also
saved. The first time a packet is to be sent to a given node, each GadgetGateway does a
DNS lookup to get the IP address of the node addressed in that packet. Subsequent pack-
ets use the stored IP address. If the lookup fails then the IP address is set to zero and
another DNS lookup will be performed the next time a packet is to be sent. The IP address
of the local node is also displayed in the Menu.

4.5.17 Set DDNS State

Select [S] from the menu and press ENTER.

Input the number 1 or 2 to set the operational state of DDNS. DDNS also requires that the
node be in manual mode and the NAT support is enabled. If you press ENTER without
typing in anything the previous value is retained.
