When the update is complete, close the FTP application.
Reset the Gateway by cycling power. The Gateway may have to be reconfigured after the
upgrade (See Chapter 4, "GadgetGateway Serial Interface" and Chapter 5, "Gadget Gate-
way Web-based Interface").
After resetting the GadgetGateway, you must also reset the Gateway's EEPROM to clear
any erroneous information that might be left behind from the previous firmware. To exe-
cute this action, complete the following steps:
1. In the Gadget Gateway Main Menu, go to the Tools/Diagnostic Menu by selecting [T]
and pressing ENTER (See Section 4.11, "Tools and Diagnostic Menu" ).
2. Select [R] Reset 852 EEPROM data on Reset and press ENTER.
3. Reset the Gadget Gateway again by first powering it off and then powering it back on.
The firmware upgrade is now complete.
6.2 Upgrading From Versions 2.0b9 though 2.25 to Version 2.3
or higher Firmware
Before you can upgrade a 2.0b9 to 2.25 GadgetGateway to version 2.30 or higher firm-
ware version, you must use the version 2 migration tool to upgrade to the new bootloader.
