Press the [Scan] key.
The scanner starts to operate, and the pattern is scanned.
The message "Scanning completed" is displayed, and the
display returns to the Image Creation screen, and the
[Texture] key is highlighted.

Press the [OK] key.

Press the [Done] key.
The display returns to the Sp. Feature screen, and the
[Image Creation] key is highlighted.
The copier is now ready to make copies.

Image Creation
To designate an area of the
pattern to be scanned, press the
[Scan Area Designation] key. For
details, see "Designating a Scan
Area," on p. 8-23.
If no area is designated, the area
of 5/8" x 5/8" (16 mm x 16 mm)
in the upper right corner on the
platen glass is scanned as a
sample area.
If a pattern has already been
scanned, "Scanned Data Use" is
displayed above the [OK] key.
Press the [OK] key to use the
scanned data as is.
The scanned texture pattern is
erased when the copier power is
turned OFF (including the case of
power turned OFF by Auto
Power-OFF Time). After the
power is turned ON, scan the
texture pattern again if necessary.
