test copper-port tdr

Use the test copper-port tdr command in Privileged EXEC mode to diagnose
with Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology the quality and
characteristics of a copper cable attached to a 1GBaseT or 10GBaseT port.
Syntax
test copper-port tdr
interface — A valid Ethernet port.
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
Privileged EXEC mode
User Guidelines.
This command prompts the user to shut down the port for the duration of
the test. Passive or active direct attach SFP/SFP+ cables are not based on
BaseT technology and do not support TDR testing.
The maximum distance the Virtual Cable Tester (VCT) can function is 120 meters.
Examples
The following example results in a report on the cable attached to port 1/0/3.
