Floppy Disk Drive or Combo Drive
To replace the floppy disk drive or combo drive:
1.
Open the base unit and remove the necessary parts as described in Chapter 1.
2.
Remove the CD-ROM drive as described previously in steps 2 through 4 of "Internal SCSI
Drives."
3.
Using a quarter-inch nutdriver, remove the screws from both sides of the drive as shown in the
following figure. Then slide the drive out of the base unit.

Disconnect the floppy cable, and power cable from the floppy disk drive. Note the position of the
red stripe on the floppy cable and ISA bus cable. If replacing the combo rive, also disconnect ISA
bus cable.
5.
Remove the four screws from the support bracket (two on each side) as shown in the following
figure.
