* The preferred network interface is the RJ48X. With the RJ48X interface, if no
connection is provided by the customer's equipment, the T1 facility's receive
pair is looped back to the transmit pair. This simplifies troubleshooting the T1
facility.
In most installations, the network interface is connected through
a cross-connect field to the CU. However, for systems with fewer
than 24 stations, the line/trunk wires can be directly connected to
the CU.
Note: When constructing wiring fields between the network
interface and the CU, you must order hardware as individual
parts. Do not use Interconnect Wiring or SYSTIMAX kits.
