When enabled, this field lets you verify that
Symantec antivirus software is installed and
active on a client's workstation.
Options include:
Latest Product Engine (default)

Verifies that Symantec antivirus software is
active and that it contains the latest
product scan engine.
Any Version
■
Verifies that Symantec antivirus software is
active with any qualified version of the
product scan engine.
Note: Make sure UDP/Port 2967 is allowed by
personal firewalls.
Lets you verify whether the latest virus
definitions are installed on a client's workstation
before allowing network access.
This field is enabled by default.
Type an interval (in minutes) for the security
gateway to query client workstations to verify
virus definitions.
For example, if you type 10 minutes, the security
gateway queries the client workstations every 10
minutes to verify that their workstations have
the latest virus definitions applied.
The default setting is 480 minutes (8 hours).
