Version Information
The show version command is useful for establishing the general health of the sensor.
This section describes the show version command, and contains the following topics:
Overview
The show version command shows the general health of the sensor and can indicate where a failure is
occurring. It gives the following information:
You can get the same information from IDM or ASDM by clicking Monitoring > Support Information >

Displaying Version Information
Use the show version command to display version information for all installed operating system
packages, signature packages, and IPS processes running on the system. To view the configuration for
the entire system, use the more current-config command.
To display the version and configuration, follow these steps:
Log in to the CLI.

The following examples show sample version output for the appliance and the NM-CIDS.
