9.2 Clearing Paper Jams

Paper jam at lever R1 and knob R2
The following message will be displayed if paper is jammed at lever R1 and knob R2 of the finisher.
Follow the instructions below to clear the jammed paper.
● Refer to "■ Paper jam at levers R3a
and R3b" for details of lever R3a.
● If the cover is not closed completely,
an error message is displayed and
the machine will not start.

Procedure
1
Open the left door of the finisher.
2
Remove the
paper by lifting lever R1
and turning the knob R2 to
the left.
3
If the paper is torn, check that no torn pieces are left in the
machine.
4
Return lever R1 to the
original position.
5
Close the left door of the finisher.
