This feature allows you to shift the image position of the document for copying.
You can also set a margin of white space on your copy.
Options available for this feature are:
No Shift
The copies are made without shifting the image of the document.
Auto Center
The document is copied with its center shifted to the center of the copy paper.
Corner Shift
The document is copied with its image shifted to a selected corner of the copy paper.
Variable Shift
The document is copied with its image shifted to the top, bottom, left or right within a range of 0-432 mm, in
1 mm increments.
● When Mixed Size Originals is selected, the images will be shifted based on the image position of the first document.
● The direction of the margin shift is based on the orientation of the loaded document. If the document is not loaded in the
orientation specified in Original Orientation, the direction of the shift will also be different. For details, refer to "5.14 Specifying
Image Orientation".
● The margin shift value is based on the paper size. It will not be affected by the percentage changes in Reduce/Enlarge.
● The factory setting for this feature is No Shift. You can change the factory settings of Corner Shift and Variable Shift in Tools
Mode. For details, refer to "8.2 Overview of Tools Mode".
