Procedure
1
Select [Background Suppression]
on the menu screen's [Other
Functions] tab.
The [Background Suppression]
screen will display.
To select automatic adjustment
1. Select the background suppression
level from the seven available
settings.
To select manual adjustment
1. Press the [Auto] button.
The Manual Adjustment screen will
display.
2. Select the background suppression
level from the thirty-nine available
settings.
Press one of the seven [ ] marks
to set the initial suppression level,
and then use the [ ] and [ ]
buttons to make the fine
adjustments.

Press the [Done] button.
The [Background Suppression]
parameter will be set up, and the
screen will return to the copier's
menu screen.
