Checking the Memory in the System

Use the following procedure to:
n
check the memory installed in the system
n
to determine the SIMM configuration you need to increase the memory
n
to identify the correct sockets for SIMM installation.
1. Locate the four SIMM sockets on the system board (see Figure 3-2).
If any cables block access to the SIMM sockets, label and disconnect them.
Use Table 3-1 to determine the SIMM configuration you need to upgrade
