Device Support
The system board in the computer supports the following peripheral storage devices:
n
up to two diskette drives, including the standard 1.44-MB diskette drive
n
up to four IDE devices such as IDE hard disks and an IDE CD-ROM reader.
Other storage devices might require the installation of a compatible controller board.
Device Slots
The system has six storage device slots:
n
a 3 1/2-inch accessible device slot which contains the standard 1.44-MB diskette
drive
n
two 3 1/2-inch internal hard disk drive slots (1-inch high, thin-height)
n
All configurations come with an IDE hard disk installed.
n
three 5 1/4-inch accessible device slots (1.6-inch high, half-height)
In multimedia models, one accessible device slot contains the standard CD-ROM reader.
You can install accessible devices such as a diskette drive, tape drive, or CD-ROM reader
with a 5 1/4-inch form factor (frame) in the 5 1/4-inch slots.
You can also install a hard disk with a 5 1/4-inch form factor in the 5 1/4-inch slots.
