2. Press in on the tab and remove the metal slot cover from the selected slot on the
front of the system.
Store the slot cover in case you choose to use it in the future.

3 1/2-Inch Drive Bracket Removal

Remove the 3 1/2-inch drive bracket as follows.
Remove the side panel as previously described.

Label and disconnect the cables attached to the diskette drive and any hard disk

drive installed in the 3 1/2-inch bracket.
3. Remove the screw securing the drive bracket to the 5 1/4-inch device cage and
slide the bracket toward the rear of the system (see Figure 5-6).
