Upgrading Random Access Memory (RAM)

Recommended Memory Configuration

Your system is equipped with four memory slots: two purple slots and two orange slots.
When adding memory modules to your system, populate the purple slots first, starting
with the slot closer to the processor.
Your system supports Dual Channel technology. Refer to the table below for memory
dual-channel configuration:

4 memory modules DS/SS

Checking System Memory

If you do not know how much memory is installed in your system, check the amount by
using the relevant following procedure.

1. On the Windows desktop, click on Start, and select Control Panel.
2. Click on Switch to classic view.
3. Double click on the System icon, and click on the General tab. This tab shows
the random access memory (RAM). This is the amount of system memory in
your computer.
