The IP Phone 2004 supports remote firmware upgrades through a
TFTP process and an automated UFTP process.
You are prompted to enter the TFTP Server IP address if you are

The method to upgrade the firmware depends on the following Call
Server software:
For Succession Release 3.0 or CS 1000 Release 4.0, the TFTP
Server is required to download the current firmware. Enter the
TFTP Server IP address at the prompt
For CS 1000 Release 4.5, use either a TFTP Server to upgrade
the firmware (at the prompt accept the default entry of 0.0.0.0) or
UFTP to download the current firmware.
For CS 1000 Release 5.0, a Signaling Server provides the
firmware for the IP Phones. Check the Nortel Web site at
www.nortel.com
