Loading paper into the bypass tray

When you need to use a paper sze that s not currently loaded n the paper cas-
sette, or when you want to prnt on an envelope, transparency film or custom szed
paper, use the bypass tray.
NOTE
Only use prnt meda specfied under "Acceptable paper" on page 1-35 to avod
paper jams and prnt qualty problems.

Open the bypass tray on the rght sde of your machne. Unfold the paper sup-
port extenson.
To set the paper, 1) rase the flapper release lever 2) load paper untl t comes to
a stop. Be sure to place the prntng surface down.
1) Adjust the paper gudes to fit the paper, 2) then lower the flapper release
lever.
