Selecting the file format

You can select the file format for the scanned document.
The followng formats are avalable;
NOTE
• Ths functon s effect only for "Scan to e-mal", "Scan to folder", and "Scan to
FTP".
• For "Scan to bulletn board" and "Scan to user", when you download a scanned
document from OfficeBrdge user's scan holder or bulletn board, you can down-
load them wth TIFF or PDF format, whch s specfied n "Intal Settngs" on
web page. For more nformaton of "Intal Settngs", see "Setup" n Chapter 4,
"Usng the Admn Tools," n the PC User's Guide.

NOTE
When you press [User], the machne prompts you to logn as an OfficeBrdge user.

You can change the default settng for [FleFormat]. See "Accessng the default scan
settngs" on page 9-10.

• Monochrome documents: ......TIFF or PDF
• Color documents: ..................JPEG or PDF
Press <SCAN> on the control panel.
Press [e-mal], [Folder], [FTP], or [User].
To scan color documents, press [Color] to toggle the key to "ON".
For "Scan to User", color scannng s not avalable.
Press [Others].
If you have chosen [User], [Fle Name] s located on the default screen.
Press [Fle Format].
Select the desred file format.
Ths explanaton shows the monochrome file format optons. When color scan s
actvated, the settngs for "Mono" are grayed out and the "Color" file formats are
selectable.
Press [Enter].
