Macro keys

If you perform the same operaton repeatedly, you can automate the operaton
usng a macro. A macro s a seres of steps grouped together as a sngle command to
accomplsh the operaton automatcally.
A macro key can record up to 60 steps.
NOTE
• Press <Reset> first when you use other functons wthn a few mnutes after
executng Macro.
• When you set the copy protect to ON, you cannot use the macro program.
• You can execute [Macro Program] from all modes (Copy, Fax, Scan) by pressng
[Macro Program].
• You can assgn [Macro Program] to a soft key. See "Soft keys" on page 9-77.
• OfficeBrdge functons (bulletn board, user scan box) cannot be used for Macro
programmng.
• Operatons usng the OB personal address book cannot be entered n a Macro
program.
• When "Network authentcaton settngs" (page 9-49), "User Access/Cost Account-
ng" (page 8-8), or "User Logn Settng" (page 9-27) s set to ON, you cannot regs-
ter or run the macro program.
Registering or editing a Macro

NOTE
When steps have already been regstered n Macros, the correspondng lst of steps
for that key wll be dsplayed. In that case, press [Enter].

In standby mode, press [Others], [Macro Program].
Press [Enter/Edt].
Select the macro key you want to regster.
