Graphic symbols and product safety labels
Graphic symbols and product safety labels are attached to the PostBase Vision M2
franking machine. The product safety labels can be found on the serial number plate
of the product.
The following overview lists and explains them.
GS Mark. Tested safety ('Geprüfte Sicherheit') according to the require-
ments of the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG). Tested by accredited
laboratory.
CE marking.
With this marking, the manufacturer declares that the product complies
with the requirements of all relevant EU directives requiring such marking.
The manufacturer's EU declaration of conformity for the
PostBase Vision M2 franking machine is printed on page 131.
UKCA marking (UK Conformity Assessed).
With this marking, the manufacturer declares the conformity of the
product with the corresponding regulations of the United Kingdom.
The UKCA marking is comparable to the CE label applicable to the
European Economic Area.
The MET approval mark indicates that the product complies with the
applicable standards as required in the USA and Canada.
Met Labs is an NRTL (national registered testing laboratory) authorised to
conduct this testing.
The crossed-out dustbin is a marking for electrical and electronic devices
(WEEE directive) and means the following:
The product and accessories (e.g. cables and ink cartridges) must not be
disposed of with household waste.
The bar below the bin indicates that the product was placed on the market
after 13 August 2005.
