Synchronising

Due to postal requirements, the data must be synchronised with Francotyp-Postalia
at regular intervals to operate the PostBase Vision M2 franking machine.
PostBase Vision M2 automatically synchronises all important data as long as the
machine is not fully turned off and the connection (LAN or Wi-Fi) is available.
In addition, you can also perform the synchronisation manually if required.
This chapter describes the available menu functions.
Synchronise – possible functions and their meaning:
• Make sure PostBase Vision M2 has a net-
work connection (LAN or Wi-Fi).
• Open the 'Menu'.
• Choose 'Synchronise'.
PostBase Vision M2 offers various functions
for synchronising the data in the 'Synchro-
nise' menu. They are displayed and
explained in the table below.
• Select the desired function.
PostBase Vision M2 displays information
about the status and purpose of the selected
function.
• Start synchronising the data with 'Yes'.
The connection setup, data transfer, as well
as testing and update processes run auto-
matically. You can follow the progress of the
process on the display.
Status Display – Date and time of the last data
synchronisation.
Sync All Complete data synchronisation.

PostBase Vision M2 performs all synchroni-
sation operations consecutively. This may
take several minutes.
