Feeding letters and franking

PostBase Vision M2 can frank postcards and letters up to a thickness of 6 mm.
For thicker mail pieces, print on the empty envelope or use franking labels. Suitable
franking labels for the PostBase Vision M2 can be ordered from Francotyp-Postalia.
PostBase Vision M2 is ready for franking
• Enter the character sequence that the cost
account should contain. Upper / lower case
have no influence on the search results.
• Confirm with 'OK'.
The filtered list of cost accounts appears. The
selection list only shows those cost accounts
that contain this character sequence at any
point in the name.
If the PostBase Vision M2 shows the Home
screen with the postage and the other
desired settings for franking imprint, you can
feed mail pieces for franking.
• Placing a letter for franking:
– Hold the letter with the side to be printed
facing upwards (address field legible).
– Place the right edge of the letter against
the wall of the letter slot and
– push the letter into the letter slot as far as
it will go.
As soon as the sensor (in the right rear cor-
ner of the letter slot) detects the letter, the
PostBase Vision M2 clamps the letter and
prints (franks) it.
