Assembling your PostBase Caution! When you move PostBase from a cold environment (i.e. below 10 °C / 50 °F): Unpack the PostBase and wait at least 2 hours before connecting PostBase. PostBase requires this period to adapt to the ambient conditions.

The first step of the installation wizard will ask you for your desired language selection. The PostBase will then try to connect to the FP network automatically to download its software and your settings. If this is unsuccessful then follow the next...

For an Ethernet connection, you will next be asked whether ‘DHCP’ con- nections can be used in your network or not. Using DHCP simplifies the con- figuration and so we recommend this if possible. Most home and small offices will have DHCP enabled.

If the machine cannot make a connection, the wizard will reappear after reboot- ing your PostBase. In this case, you should first check the connections and then the settings you have entered. You can also check the settings with your IT system administrator.
