Cleaning the print system

16.2.1

Starting automatic print system cleaning

You should only start the cleaning process for the print system if the print quality is
not sufficient (e.g. blank spots in the imprint after longer periods out of use).
Cleaning
• Open the 'Menu'.
• Choose 'Ink Cartridge'.
• Choose 'Cleaning'.
A message informs about the ongoing
cleaning process.
• Confirm the message with 'OK'.
• Check the print quality by means of a test
print (see chapter 16.3).
Intensive cleaning
You should start intensive cleaning if normal
cleaning fails to improve the print quality to
your satisfaction.
• Open the 'Menu'.
• Choose 'Ink Cartridge'.
• Choose 'Intensive Cleaning'.
A message informs about the ongoing
cleaning process.
• Confirm the message with 'OK'.
• Check the print quality by means of a test
print (see chapter 16.3).
In case of stubborn soiling, even intensive
cleaning may be unable to improve the print
quality as desired. In such cases, you can
manually clean the cartridge. Read the
following chapter.
