Inserting the security device (NPSD)

Caution! If the PostBase Vision M2 franking machine or security device have
previously been in a cold environment (i.e. below 10 °C / 50 °F): Wait at least
2 hours before operating the franking machine. PostBase Vision M2 needs
this time to adjust to the environmental conditions.
The shaft for the security device is located under the locked weighing unit. If you want
to insert the security device in the turned-off status, you must unlock the weighing unit
manually. Read about this in chapter 17.3.2.
• Turn on the PostBase Vision M2.
In the course of the start routine,
PostBase Vision M2 detects that the security
device is missing.
• Confirm the error message with 'Continue'.
• Wait until PostBase Vision M2 has
unlocked the weighing unit and prompts to
fold it up.
• Hold the weighing unit by the handle and
carefully fold it upwards as far as it will go.
