Unlocking the weighing unit

17.3.1 Automatic unlocking

In the event that you need 'out of turn' access to the ink cartridge or security device,
it is best to use the cartridge change menu function to unlock the weighing unit.
Possible cause and remedy
Setting up / managing users is done via the MyFP
customer portal.
Enable access control for the PostBase Vision M2
(see chapter 15.3, page 75).
Synchronise PostBase Vision M2 with the cus-
tomer portal (see chapter 14, page 72).
If necessary, contact the administrator of the
franking machine.
If you cannot remedy an error yourself, please
contact the Customer Service.
• Open the 'Menu'.
• Choose 'Ink Cartridge'.
• Choose 'Change Cartridge'.
The PostBase Vision M2 moves the ink car-
tridge into the change position and unlocks
the weighing unit.
• The weighing unit can now be folded
upwards.
Ink cartridge and security device are now
accessible.
