The Motor has a "Recovery" IP Address. If a network connection is not available to the
motor within 10 seconds after power up, the Recovery IP Address will be used. To force the
motor to use the Recovery address:
• Power OFF the instrument.
• Disconnect the MOTOR COMM connection on the rear panel of the instrument.
• Power ON the instrument.
• Wait at least 10 seconds and then reconnect the MOTOR COMM connection on the
rear panel of the instrument.
• The motor now has an IP address of 10.10.10.10 with a Subnet Mask of 255.255.0.0
• Connect to the motor as desired.
NOTE: The Network Configuration of the computer must be compatible with the new
IP address.

UltraSonic Motherboard

The UltraSonic Motherboard is the red circuit board inside the instrument. This board was
designed by Chandler Engineering. The Ultrasonic Configurator software is installed with the
5270 software.
• Connect the instrument to your network (this can be a direct connection to the control
computer).
• Power ON the instrument.
• Open the Ultrasonic Configurator software.
• Select TCP in the top-left corner, enter the appropriate IP Address and click the
Connect button.
NOTE: The Network Configuration of the computer must be compatible with the IP
address.
• Select the "Config File" tab.
• Enter the desired IP Address and Subnet Mask on the right side of the screen.
• Click the "Write Config Params to Board" button.
NOTE: the new IP address will take affect after the next power cycle.
