Configuring the Eurotherm Controller

The controller contains many menus containing parameters that are not visible during normal
use. A detailed description of each parameter is beyond the scope of this manual. Please
refer to the controller manual for the details.
During normal use, the controller provides access to the Level 1 menu. For security and to
prevent inadvertent changes, passwords are used with some of the menus. Levels 1 & 2
provide the same level of access. Level 3 provides access to several menus, but some items
can only be changed in configuration (CONF) mode. Configuration mode provides access to
all settings, but active control of Temperature or Pressure will be suspended. For example,
Level 3 may be used to verify current communication settings, but the Configuration Level is
required to change the settings.
To enter Level 3 or Configuration:
1. Press and hold the Page button. Lev 1 and GOTO will appear after approximately 3
seconds. Continue to hold the Page button until Lev 3 and GOTO appear (another 3
seconds).
2. Press the Scroll button to enter the password for Level 3 (0003) or press the Raise
button to select the Configuration Level (CONF and GOTO appear). The
Configuration password is 0004.

Change Temperature Units

1. Enter the Configuration Level as described above.
2. Navigate to the Instrument List ("INSt" is on the Upper Readout; "LIST" is on the
Middle Readout).
a. Press the Page key multiple times (20+ times) OR
b. Hold the Page key and press the Raise button (approximately 3 times)
3. Press Scroll until "T.UNIT" appears in the Middle Readout (approximately 3 times)
4. Use the Raise and Lower buttons to change the units (dEG.C, dEG.F and k)
5. Wait until the selection flashes once indicating that it was accepted.
6. Press and hold the Page key until "Lvl 1" appears on the Upper Readout and
"GOTO" appears on the Middle Readout.
7. Press the Scroll key. The device will restart.

Change the Temperature Offset

To add an offset to the displayed Temperature reading, use the following steps:
1. Enter the Configuration Level as described above.
2. Press the Page key, "AI" appears on the Upper Readout, "LIST" appears on the
Middle Readout.
3. Press the Scroll key until "PV.OFS" appears on the Middle Readout (approximately 8
times)
4. Use the Raise and Lower buttons to change the Process Value Offset.
5. Wait until the selection flashes once indicating that the value was accepted.
6. Press and hold the Page key until "LEv 1" appears on the Upper Readout and
"GOTO" appears on the Middle Readout.
7. Press the Scroll key. The device will restart
