Motor
The Applied Motion Products Step-Servo Quick Tuner software is required. This software is
available from the Applied Motion Products website. Download the "Step-Servo Quick
Tuner" software; this is different from the "Quick Tuner" software. At the time of this
writing, the software was available from the following URL:
motion.com/s/software/step-servo-quick-tuner
• If not connected, attach the Power and Communication cables to the motor.
DO NOT connect or disconnect this cable when the Instrument is ON. Damage to the
motor may occur.
• Connect the instrument to your network (this can be a direct connection to the control
computer).
• Open the Step-Servo software.
• Select "Ethernet" from the Port drop list.
• Enter the appropriate IP address in the "Addr" field.
NOTE: the Network Configuration of the computer must be compatible with this IP
address.
• Click the "Connect" button in the toolbar.
• Power ON Power to the instrument.
• After a few seconds, the software will ask if you want to upload the current
configuration from the drive. Click Yes.
• Click the "IP Table" button in the toolbar.
• In the window that appears, click the "Read from Drive" button.
• Enter the desired IP address and click the "Save to Drive" button. A message will
appear stating that the new IP address will take affect after the next power cycle.
NOTE: Do NOT change the Recovery IP Address (see below).
NOTE: The motor always uses a Subnet Mask of 255.255.0.0.
NOTE: the Network Configuration of the computer must be compatible with the new
IP address.
